Can You Take It? One More Journal? After spending the time and money on the workshop, I wanted to be sure I could make these on my own, and I wanted to make sure I could figure out how to use watercolor paper in them.
My friend Karen (we took the workshop together) came over bright and early this morning, and we started bookmaking. The text block is easy, the covers are easy, but putting it all together is the tricky part.
It is pretty labor intensive - it took all day, and we had so much fun, I can't fix dinner now. I think we're going to have to go out. Pity.

The Mo-town music definitely rocked the bookmaking. I love our books and our time together. Thanks, Karen
It's lovely! Must be fun just to pick out the designs--they're so colorful! What size is your journal?
When I look at a website to make one, the "sewing it together" and binding it confuse me--I think I need to "see" someone actually do it.
Karen - things do go better with mo-town. It was a fun day.
Marj - putting the colors and patterns together is sooooo fun. The stitching was very confusing to me until I saw someone do it too. I hope to teach a class next summer. The book is about 5 1/2 X 6 and 1 1/8 thick. It has Aquarius II in it.
