Yet Another Lunch. Yet Another Set of Salt and Pepper Shakers
I am always quick to say, "Oh, I never eat out." Looking back through this almost completed sketchbook at the salt shaker sketches, maybe I DO eat out more than I thought. My sister-in-law saw I was nearly finished with this sketchbook and she said, "Have you eaten your way through that whole sketchbook?!"I am surprised at the variety of salt shakers in restaurants. How many restaurant supply places are there, and how many different styles could they have? At first glance you might think they are all alike, but when you start drawing them, you begin to notice the differences.
I suppose I could spend my time observing something - um -important? Educational? Challenging? Useful?

I'm all in favor of journals having themes.
So, was lunch good? I'll be up your way on Thursday; have to eat somewhere, right?
"Sand Hill" - it really wasn't a theme, but seems to have turned into one.
Turkeys would NOT be my first choice. In Petoskey there is the new and delicious Twisted Olive, the very local feeling Julienne Tomatoes, and the old established City Park Grill.
My S-I-L loves trying new restaurants so I'll see if she has been to one of those yet.
Maybe I'll sketch the S&P shakers.
