This is my first sketch in my new Moleskine (mole-a-SKEEN-a) sketchbook. I am still trying to find the best way to get color on the pages. They are pretty slick and watercolor beads up. Colored pencil and watercolor pencil work pretty well, but . . .

I scrub the watercolor in with a heavy hand so to speak... also loading up with lots of paint on the brush seems to help. I love my Moleskine and use watercolor in it a lot. :) I made one of those Altoid tin palettes too... so small, it can go anywhere! Have fun!
I've heard if you use a sliver of soap to dab on your brush before using on the surface of the moleskine, it works like a charm
