Painting in California

Sketchbook Journaling Along Highway 1 in California.
We have just returned from a great trip to California. While we were staying in Glen Ellen in the Sonoma Valley for a couple of days, we drove over to the coast and up Highway 1 because we had never done that. I do prefer the valley to the coast - just because I like cozy spaces, not wide-open spaces. However, there were some magnificent views!

I will post some of my sketches as soon as I get settled in a little at home - a trip to the grocery is first on my list. Wishing we had a Trader Joe's here . . .

  1. I can't wait to see you sketches! I live on the Central Coast of California (about 1 hour north of Santa Barbara and about 20 minutes south of San Luis Obispo) in a small, but steadily growing, town called Nipomo. I wish I were able to take some of your watercolor journaling classes. Your book is very insprational to me...I've been carrying it around with me for the last few months! "o) I hope you enjoyed your visit to California!! :o)

  3. Very excited to see your sketches/wc's of Calif. We did that trip before I knew about trip journaling--so much I missed. :-(
Betty & Bill are doing that trip right now...seeing their 2 sons out west also. I still use your book so much, it is dog-earred!

I can't wait to see what you painted while up on this cliff. Yikes that is even higher than Boyne Mt.
Glad you had a good time and glad you are home safely. Karen
